Exploration of elements essential to success in the fields of horticulture, including proper work ethic, job searching and job preparation. Outside of class, students work to earn credit. EMT - Emergency Medical Technology

EMT 110 - Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (6 Units)

Limitation on Enrollment: Current CPR certificate for either the Health Care Provider or the Professional Rescuer, must be at least 18 years old by the fourth week of the semester, and background check and TB testing are required.
Course Advisory: AH 120 Medical terminology provides a basic foundation in understanding terms associated with body systems and the injuries and illnesses which the EMT will be assessing and treating.
Theory and skills for treatment of acute/emergency injury and illness. Includes observations in hospital and with field EMS provider. Fulfills Title 22 Guidelines and State Health and Safety Code for EMT -B certification. Successful course completion required to take National Registry of EMTs Exam which is required for certification in any California county.
