VN 146 - Introduction to Mental Health Nursing

Prerequisite: VN 137.
Corequisite: VN 145.

Designed to foster understanding and critical thinking in relation to legal, ethical, and professional aspects of psychiatric-mental health care. Nursing approaches to the assessment and collaborative management of people with mental health disorders are outlined. Introduction to evidence-based psychological and psychosocial interventions used in the management of mental illness.
