VN 145 - Integrated Medical-Surgical Nursing Lab

Prerequisites: VN 141 and VN 142 and VN 144 and VN 146.
Limitation on Enrollment: Health and Safety regulations. Students must have a valid CPR card, must pass physical examination. If not a current CNA, must pass the background check required by the clinical facilities in their SBCC contracts.

Clinical laboratory course builds on experiences of the second semester as students develop leadership skills and provide nursing care to adult and elderly patients in a variety of settings. The nursing process is the problem-solving method utilized for care planning, implementation and leadership activities in the clinical setting.
