TA 299 - Independent Study In Theatre Arts

Limitation on Enrollment: The student must obtain approval to enroll from the supervising faculty member, the department chair, and the division dean. This approval will primarily be based on the evaluation of a written project proposal and interview with the supervising faculty to determine the appropriateness of the project and the prior education and/or experience of the student which would lead to a determination of a probable successful project outcome. The student must have completed 12 units at SBCC with a minimum GPA of 2.5, and six units within the department with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Those units must be completed by the semester prior to undertaking the independent study project.

Students work under guidance and direction of sponsoring faculty members on projects consistent with interests and abilities. Minimal weekly meetings with faculty sponsor required. Course may be taken for one-to--our units of credit; each unit of credit requires student to devote approximately three hours per week to his/her project.
