CRAO NC862 - Decorative Pottery Techniques: For Older Adults

Course Advisories: Beginning ceramics experience.

The older adult student will learn decorative and glaze techniques for ceramics. Students enhance mental acuity and manual strength and dexterity as they work with clay on wheel or table. Older adults exercise fine motor skills to complete the detailed work of painting, carving, glazing, and slip trailing. Topics include the varieties of decorating with clay, under-glazes, slips, glazes, wax techniques will be covered.
